The UK's top ten most popular Christmas tin chocolates unveiled - full list (2024)
There is nothing better than tucking into your favourite tub of chocolates while you settle down to watch a film at Christmas.
Now, we know that when it comes to Christmas chocolates, everyone has an opinion on what is the best of the bunch.
Do you prefer the the Caramel Barrel from Quality Street, or maybe you enjoy tucking into the Cadbury's Heroes tub?
Whatever chocolate you reach for, it looks like we finally have an answer on which chocolate from your favourite tubs are officially the most popular among the British public.
A new survey conducted by Foxy Bingo had 2,000 Brits vote for their favourite chocolate among the tubs of Quality Street, Heroes, Roses and Celebrations - and the answer may or may not surprise you.
Unsurprisingly, it looks like us Brit's are still partial to the popular Maltesers Teaser from the Celebrations tub, as it came out on top spot with a landslide of the vote.
The Purple One from the iconic Quality Street tub has also proven to be quite a fan favourite in its own right, as it came in second place.
It was the only chocolate from the classic tub to make the top ten list of popular chocolates, with the rest of the votes belonging to Heroes, Celebrations and Roses.
Classic choices such as Cadbury's Dairy Milk and Twirl from the Heroes tub also proved to be rather popular among the British public at Christmas time.
In a surprising turn of events, it turns out that despite being the brunt of jokes, Bounty is in fact not the least favourite chocolate as it managed to come fifth place.
The crown for our least favourite chocolate lies with Quality Street’s Green Triangle, which ranked low for both men and women.
Fans of the The Hazelnut noisette and the Chocolate Eclair will be unhappy to hear that these two chocolates also scored low on the new study.
If opinions on the most popular chocolate wasn't enough to stir up conversation, it also seems that there is a slight preference for the Celebrations tub at Christmas.
With four chocolates making the top ten list, the tub was easily the favourite, with Heroes coming in second place with three entries, then Roses with two and Quality Street coming last with just one.
Anna Venturas, Brand Director at Foxy Bingo, said: “With Christmas just around the corner, many families will already be stocking up on family treats for the festive season, and a tub of Christmas chocolates or two is always front and centre amongst the holiday treats.
“Whilst all of the chocolates on offer are delicious, we hope that this research might help you figure out which options are most likely to disappear the fastest.”
