Strawberry blonde hair blends elements of blonde and red hair colours, resulting in a vibrant hue that can be compared to ripe strawberries. Often referred to as Venetian blonde, this colour uses pale, soft and warm tones to create a delicate sun-kissed appearance.

Despite its popularity, strawberry blonde hair only occurs naturally in between 1 and 2 percent of the world's total population — which means it takes hair color and technique to make it happen for the rest of us. In fact, it's a hue that's been rare yet in demand for centuries.

When the hair is light in color and contains this reddish hue, it's called strawberry blonde. The hair appears blondish and reddish at the same time — as if it is lit from within by a reddish, golden or coppery glow.

Golden, strawberry blonde, or honey blonde hair is warm, while neutral shades fall somewhere in the middle, think those wheat-y or buttery blondes, says Celene.
