Is there enough hero points in GW2? ›

Between the hero challenges and the rewards from leveling, there are more hero points available in the world than needed to fully train all skills and traits, so completing every hero challenge is not required.

In order to complete an entire Elite Specialization unlock you will need to spend 250 Hero Points.

1) No, you can not reset spent points. However, there are vastly more points available than needed to unlock everything. 2) Reaching level 80 (wether by normal XP or boost) gives enough Hero Points to unlock all core skills and traits.

To unlock all the core skills and traits you need 398 Hero Points (which are granted by leveling to 80). To fully unlock one elite specialization you need 250 Hero Points.

For an upper estimate it took me 134 hours and 39 minutes to get my thief to level 80, purely through open world map completion and story and with time spent sorting out the bank, chatting etc. but no significant periods just going afk. It's certainly possible to do it a lot quicker than that even for a casual player.

This boost immediately raises a character to max level, equips the character for max-level play, and grants a package of endgame rewards.

Where can I spend my Hero Points? You can spend your well-earned Hero Points in the Swag Store in the Employment Hero portal or the Swag app. You can also spend Hero Points using your Swag Spend Visa debit card at any merchant.

There is a 15,000 achievement point cap on points rewarded, which is the combined total from the Wizard's Vault Daily, and the historical Daily achievements and Monthly achievements.

Icons with the infinite symbol in the bottom right corner can be repeated – these are usually combat hero challenges – but will not grant you additional hero points.

Players can switch back and forth between specializations when out of combat. Each character in the base game can choose from five core specializations per profession, while accounts with Guild Wars 2: Heart of Thorns gain access to one elite specialization for each profession.

Complete the story step Prologue: Rally to Maguuma from the Heart of Thorns story once, which then unlocks account-wide access to the portal from the Silverwastes described below. From the Silverwastes: the portal to Verdant Brink is in the south-western part of the map, through a door behind Amber Sandfall.

PoF will give you a total of 290 Hero Points (29 Hero Challenges/Communes in the zones). An elite spec. will cost you 250 Hero Points. The core specs will cost you 60 Hero Points for each spec (5 specs total). And then you'll have the core skill unlocks for a total of 98 Hero Points .
