An alternative to Back Bacon, the Belfast Bacon is cut from our Smoked Gammons that are cured to a traditional recipe originating in Belfast. The Belfast Bacon can be fried or grilled but traditionally would normally be fried. The gammon is carefully prepared by our butchers starting with a leg of pork that is covered in brine and left to cure over several weeks before smoking. The end result is well worth the wait! All the bones are removed and the joint tied to keep good shape before slicing into waver thin rashers.
